Who it is for
Who this course is for
These four groups describe the people already on this course. If none of them quite fits you, that is fine — the consultation is there to say which course does.
Uncomfortable speaking in front of others
Working alone with a teacher removes the biggest barrier of all: the fear of being wrong in front of a class.
Needing English for one specific thing
An interview, a business trip, a new role — the content is built straight around it.
Working, with an irregular schedule
Lessons are scheduled by agreement rather than around a fixed class timetable.
Wanting maximum speaking time
In a group the speaking turns are shared; here the whole lesson is yours.
Outcomes
What you come away with
Not the syllabus listed a second time, but what is left once the course has finished.

Content built around what you actually need
Situations, vocabulary and phrasing chosen around your own work and plans.
Far more speaking time than a group class
The whole lesson is a conversation, so the number of turns in an hour is much higher than in a class of five.
Corrected on the spot, sentence by sentence
The teacher stops you at the moment you get it wrong, rather than saving it for general comments at the end.
Content that gets revised mid-course
Progress is tracked throughout; when your needs change, the plan changes with them rather than waiting for the end.
Syllabus
What you study
Everything the course covers, grouped. The order and the weight of each part are adjusted after each student's entry test.
Talking it through and designing the content
- An assessment of how you listen and speak now
- Agreeing which situations you need and by when
- Designing personal content around those situations
Pronunciation and phrasing
- Correcting the specific sounds and errors that are yours
- Intonation and rhythm in real conversation
- Replacing old phrasing with what native speakers actually use
Situations, as you need them
- Work, travel, daily life or interviews — chosen by you
- Handling what is not in the script
- Keeping a long conversation going
Tracking and adjusting
- Recording what has improved and which errors still repeat
- Regular review through the conversations themselves
- Rebuilding the rest of the content around new results
How we teach
The six steps behind every Wobridge course
These six steps apply to every course we run, on every programme. What changes from course to course is how much weight each step carries — noted directly under the list.
Entry assessment
A test across all four skills before placement, so we know where a student stands and what is missing.
Learning path
The target broken into stages with checkpoints, rather than a single number waiting at the end of the course.
Practice
Every lesson includes work done in class; theory never occupies a lesson on its own.
Feedback
Writing and speaking marked against the assessment criteria of the exam being prepared, with each fault attached to a named criterion.
Progress tracking
Results are recorded skill by skill through the course, so it is visible which part is moving and which is not.
Mock test
A paper sat in the real format and to the real timings, then talked through afterwards.
