The SAT is a standardised admissions test for universities in the United States. Unlike every other exam we teach, one of its two sections does not measure English — Math.
The four points below describe the DIGITAL paper now in use — taken in the Bluebook app, and quite unlike the old paper test.
The first measures comprehension, expression and standard English conventions. The second covers algebra, advanced maths, data analysis, geometry and trigonometry.
The difficulty of the second module depends on how the first went, so how you spend your energy across the two is a real strategy.
Quite unlike the long multi-question passages of the old paper test. Older material still describes the previous format, so choose your sources carefully.
Each section is worth 200–800. The Desmos calculator is built into the app and available throughout the Math section.
