Language preparation

Language roadmap

Accepted thresholds

  • IELTS 6.5 · Một số chương trình cử nhân nhận 6.0
  • TOEFL 79 · iBT

Programmes are taught in English, so the roadmap follows IELTS as in the English-speaking destinations. The standard threshold is 6.5, with some bachelor's programmes accepting 6.0.

  1. Foundation

Core grammar and academic vocabulary, plus familiarity with the test format. Target 5.5.

  2. Build-up

Even work across the four skills, with attention to Reading — many Finnish entrance examinations lean heavily on reading comprehension. Target 6.0.

  3. Final push

Mock tests and feedback to reach 6.5, alongside preparation for the university entrance examination.

Support packages

The centre handles the application work and the language preparation. Choosing the institution and the field of study stays with you.

The centre prepares and reviews applications, runs interview practice and teaches the language. Visa decisions rest with the immigration authority of the destination country and scholarship decisions rest with the awarding body — no one outside those two can guarantee an outcome.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • How do tuition scholarships work?

Most universities assess them automatically from your application; a few require a separate form. Awards usually cover 50% or 100% of tuition, sometimes with a first-year living allowance.

  • Do I need Finnish?

Not for an English-taught programme. It does help considerably when looking for part-time work and when staying on to work after graduation.

  • How hard is the entrance examination?

It depends on the field. Engineering and business programmes typically test mathematics and English reading; the format is published in advance, so it can be prepared for.

  • Do you guarantee a scholarship?

No. The university decides on academic merit, and no agency can guarantee that. We help you prepare a complete application and submit it on time.
