Overview

What this course is

VSTEP Speaking is not a free conversation: the three parts ask you to organise your ideas in three different ways. Part 1 is quick question and answer about everyday life, Part 2 gives you three options and asks you to pick one and defend it, Part 3 asks you to develop a topic along an outline you are given. Part 2 is where most marks are lost, because it demands comparison — speaking well about the option you chose without saying why you did NOT choose the other two is an incomplete answer. The course gives that part a chapter of its own.
