Overview

What this course is

The TOEIC Listening section does not test listening in general; it tests four different kinds of listening, and learners usually apply one approach to all four. This course separates them: Part 1 is elimination by visual detail, Part 2 is catching the question word, Part 3 is reading the questions first and listening for landmarks, Part 4 is following the outline of a structured talk. One section is given to the situation the real exam always creates: missing something. The recording plays ONCE, so an equally important skill is dropping a question at the right moment so you do not lose the two after it as well.

  • Learners around 400 – 600 who lose most of their marks in the listening section
  • Learners who handle Parts 1 and 2 but fade during long conversations
  • Learners who understand the content but cannot choose an answer fast enough
