Introduction
Six years of teaching, leading Speaking and Listening. Sessions run on a continuous question-and-answer rhythm: students speak first, feedback follows immediately, and the error just made is corrected in the very next turn.
Listening follows the same thread — same topics, same vocabulary — so that what has just been heard gets used when speaking. The speaking topic set is refreshed each stage rather than repeating one fixed list.
In the classroom
Practice sessions run to the exact order and timing of the three parts of the speaking test, so nothing about the format is new on the day.
Errors are noted and returned right after each turn, instead of being saved to the end of the session when the student has forgotten what they said.
The listening passage is chosen to match the speaking topic in the same session, so vocabulary just heard is used immediately.
